A homemaker/companion helps individuals with Instrumental Activity of Daily Living (IADLs).
This position plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life and promoting independence for individuals who may need assistance with daily tasks.
Responsibilities:
Light Housekeeping:
Performing light cleaning duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping.
vacuuming, laundry, and tidying up living spaces.
Companionship:
Engaging in conversation, playing games, or accompanying clients on walks or outings to provide social interaction and emotional support Meal Preparation:
Planning and preparing nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences Medication reminders:
Assist with medication reminders at the prescribed times Errands and transportation:
Running errands such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions, and providing transportation to appointments or social activities Monitoring health and reporting:
Observing and reporting any changes in the clients physical or mental condition to supervisor.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine Must have a reliable means of transportation to get to the jobs Must be dependable and punctual Previous experience cleaning or companionship preferred Attention to detail when cleaning Ability to follow verbal directions Perks &
