Grant Accountant
Seeking a Grant Accountant to monitor account activities and handle compliance issues for all Federal, State, Local Government & Private grants, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded on the general ledger. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
o Reviews source documents for compliance to rules and regulations; determines proper handling of financial and technical transactions within designated limits.
o Monitors and reconciles reports to the general ledger transactions for accuracy.
o Prepares Federal and State reports. (Monthly, Quarterly and Annual)
o Assists the department with fiscal and calendar year-end close activities as required.
o Develops or assists with developing procedures to improve departmental workflow.
o Fiscal monitor for organizations 340B drug program.
o Interfaces with internal and external parties as required ensuring provision of accurate information.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Automated financial systems. Great Plains Software desirable
o Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
o Non-profit accounting (Healthcare field desirable)
o Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.
o Demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications and automated financial systems.
Education, Training and
Experience:
o BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
o Two years related work experience. Grant Accounting preferred.
