Position Description:
+ Coordinate with external core suppliers on behalf of all AE sites and expedite cores as needed to ensure cores meet delivery requirements.
+ Communicate/Publish supplier commitments, updated actual deliveries, and schedules to impacted Arconic Engine plants and leadership
+ Provide information and intelligence on supplier downtime for holidays, machine and kiln preventative maintenance, and die coating
+ Coordinate with suppliers to build buffer stocks (as required by commercial agreement) and/or as needed by the supplier to assure 100% on time delivery.
+ Ensure Arconic Engine commercial commitments (PO?s and forecasts) are in place to secure capacity and requirements
+ Standardize and improve demand signals from AE sites to external core suppliers.
+ Investigate risk / reward agreements with suppliers (need to calculate value of on-time deliveries and how it will impact backlog).
+ Develop and maintain a list of critical jobs based on backlog, complexity, and customer. Work with Core Process Owner and Commercial owners to assess risk, feasibility, and customer requirements to resource business. Develop plan, Identify / prioritize & compile detailed plan including timeline to move out of incumbent suppliers and into alternate supplier(s).
+ Project manage resourcing actions from concept to completion.
+ Participate in the development and launch of new suppliers and expansion of business at existing suppliers
+ Develop and standardize method to replace worn tooling before it exceeds useful life which includes notifying commercial teams of cost and timing for refurbishment/replacement well in advance of tool reaching it useful life.
+ Investigate moving all post impregnation operations out of external suppliers and into Acuna.
+ Coordinate with SQA and standardize Performance Ratings for all external core suppliers.
+ Provide input, metrics, and support to overall Ceramic Core Strategy
+ Compile cost savings, quality improvements, and productivity best practices observed at outside suppliers

+ Basic knowledge of cores (fit & function)
+ Manufacturing Process (cores mfg. process preferred)
+ Engineering / Quality background helpful
+ High level of Project Management skills.
+ Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Arconic Engines (AE) and the suppliers? organization.
+ Person must be persuasive and firm with core suppliers regarding requirement, and be able to influence people that are not under his/her direct control.

+ Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution
+ Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
