Shipping Clerk

10:00 AM-6:30 PM Monday - Friday



POSITION OVERVIEW

Coordinate all aspects of the shipping department, including the preparation of all shipping documents.? These include shippers, invoices, the control of castings being processed at out plant operations and customs documentation for international shipments.? Responsibilities will also include customer notifications through the use of phone, fax, e-mail and customer web site.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Responsible for the completion of all shippers, including the preparation of bar coded shipping labels.? The coordinator will contact quality assurance and the lab, to insure that shipments are cleared in a timely fashion.

  • Process all invoices on a daily basis

  • Maintain and control out plant inventories for production planning, including contacting and scheduling suppliers and the internal trace ability functions including lot trace.

  • Responsible for the preparation and recordkeeping of all export documentation, working closely with the HDC export liaison and export personnel at HLS and COPD, as well as customer assigned freight forwarders.

  • Assist dispatcher with the scheduling of freight carriers and packaging of shipments.

  • Responsible for ordering all packaging materials, including cardboard, banding strap, form, stretch wrap and box tape.

  • Responsible for the shipment of x-ray to storage at HLS and maintain records of all film stored.

  • Monitor customer web sites and input shipment information in to those web sites as required by our customers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

  • Expected to assist in the implementation of Arconic?s EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles

  • Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations and ensure that your team does the same.

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment and ensure that your team does the same.

  • Report all job-related illness and injuries and ensure that your team does the same.

  • Report all EHS concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.

  • Attend all EHS training and ensure your team does the same.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Working knowledge of Oracle business systems preferred.

  • Typing experience necessary.

  • Knowledge of the PC extremely helpful.

  • 3-5 years? experience in a manufacturing environment or previous clerical experience a plus.

  • Willing to work flexible hours

  • Electric pallet jack, hand truck, calculator, typewriter, PC and telephone?????

Qualifications

? BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ?Green Card Holder?)


  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position


  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position.


  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.


  • Valid Driver?s license



 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
