EHS Engineer

Arconic?sDover, NJ facility has an immediate opening for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer. This position is a keymember of the location?s EHS leadership team and is highly visible position inthe plant and the Arconic Engines (AEN) Business Unit.

AEN is aworld leader in the investment casting of super alloys, aluminum and titaniumproducts and is a leading supplier of structural components for the aerospace,automotive, commercial transportation, and industrial gas turbine markets.? The Dover location is increasing its laborforce and implementing significant capital investment to accommodate customerdemand and the rapid growth in the aerospace jet engine market.? Essential Job Functions:
  • Theprimary role of this position will be to drive and support safety and fatalityprevention activities across the campus which includes two operating locations.
  • Coachesand provides mentorship to departmental leadership in the execution of EHSaccountabilities.
  • Activelyseeks out hazards and works with department leadership to address.
  • Providesoversight of location EHS self-assessment (audit) process and coaching oflocation Single Point Accountable (SPAs) persons.
  • Participatesin and guides new equipment design discussions and start up reviews.
  • Analysesdata and reports necessary for corrective / preventive actions and gaps.
  • Assistswith development and implementation of EHS policy and procedures
  • Developsand conducts EHS-related training sessions.
  • Participatesactively in investigation of EHS incidents.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor?sDegree from an accredited university.
  • Thisposition is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)which requires U.S. person status.? ITARdefines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'GreenCard Holder').
  • Employeesmust be legally authorized to work in the United States.? Verification of employment eligibility willbe required at the time of hire.? Visasponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BSdegree in a safety-related discipline.
  • Atleast 3 years EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstratedprofessional with passion for change and relentless focus on execution.
  • Strongcommunication skills, analytical skills, problem solving and human relationsskills.
  • Abilityto make difficult decisions with sometimes an incomplete set of data.
  • Criticalskills include: Execution, attention to detail, initiative, conflictresolution, customer focus, collaboration, building ownership and commitment,developing others, drive for change, tenacity, and getting organizationsupport.
  • CertifiedSafety Professional

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
